There are 4 different lists here. The MUSICAL EXAMPLES are all performed by the Larkspur String Quartet and are from the quartet repertoire list. Many of these examples work well for the Larkspur String Trio or as solo piece. The examples are offered in 2 formats; 1 for the dial up folks and the other for listeners who have a cable modem or DSL.
The other 3 lists are a sampling of the pieces that we play. If there is something that you would like us to play that is not on the list please ask us! It may be something we can do fairly easily!
I welcome you to get as involved as you like when handling the musical details. Some people like to choose all of the music that will be performed, and some people prefer to let me handle all of the musical selections.
For a wedding ceremony, most people like to pick the processionals, the recessional, and any music that might be played during the ceremony. Often they leave the rest to me. Whatever YOU prefer is fine!
Usually we play 3 selections as a processional - the first for the seating of special guests, (usually the mothers who are ushered in just before the ceremony begins), the second is for all of the people who process up the aisle except the bride, and the third selection is for the bride.
If you need help picking the pieces, you can listen to the musical examples on this web site, call me and I will play them or sing them over the phone for you, or you can go to your local music store and listen or buy 1 of their wedding CDs. Many stores now have listening stations. You can also visit the public library.
